I was thrilled to be recommended on the Oxted Facebook page as a baby photographer the other week. I ended up doing a photo session for a 6 week old baby Jacob. This happy and extremely calm boy was a delight and his very relaxed mummy was happy for me to try out various props and poses.
I took some images of Jacob being awake in a wooden bowl with some cute blankets knitted by my friend Rhian. Later he drifted off to sleep and curled into beautiful sleepy poses when he got bored of the wooded bowl and a bit tired.
The wooden bowl will always be special to me. Not only as a great prop from Meldon House & Home in Oxted but because of the memorable way I acquired it. One day I took my 4 year old daughter, Lara, to the shop and asked about the bowl. When Lara heard the price from the lady who works there she gave her a stunned glare and exclaimed: “That’s not good!!! We don’t have so much money!” As a result I got some money off the price without any haggling and thanked my little keen assistant.
So here they are - the photos of Jacob, which I would like to share with you. I hope they will become a treasured memory for him and his family.
